Oh my! Where do I start? This was my favourite read of 2022, 

it’s about the life of Evelyn Hugo read in a interview style where

she recollects her life, her career, her romances and what she 

did to get to the top in the world of Hollywood. As they say, 

most of the drama happens behind the camera…

Themes: Dark Academia, Friendships, Murder, Tragedy

A murder mystery when someone in the school’s Shakespeare 

play gets murdered after a party. Everyone looks to a certain 

friendship group and one by one they start to blame each other.

High school drama with Shakespeare with a murder.

Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron

Themes: Fairytale retelling, LGBTQ+, Fantasy

As far as fairytale retellings I will always recommend this book.

In this kingdom, a yearly ball takes place where girls must 

find a suitor by a certain age or they will disappear for good. Sophia is determined to change that.

Themes: Love, Family, LGBTQ+, Identity, Race

For anyone who has struggled to find themselves in a world

where society would rather you conform. Set in 1950’s San

Francisco, a young woman finds her first love whilst balancing

school and following her families’ rules and values. Thus, 

she goes to the Telegraph Club to escape.
